We work with Registered Social Landlords providing advice on problems that occur within their tenants homes. These issues could be condensation, damp or water ingress or some electrical faults. It isnt always easy to spot some of these problems externally, and the last thing anyone wants to do is start taking apart kitchen and bathroom units to find out that isnt where the issue is occuring. All of our staff are equipped with FLIR C2 Infra Red Camera's which can read heat signals within a property. This enable's us to quickly identify problem area's which helps us get to the route cause of the problem quickly and effieciently. When we help you carry out remedial work, we can provide you with before and after thermal pictures of your property so you can see the improvement for yourself.
Condensation management is one of the 'hot topics' (no pun intended) that affects Social Landlords across the country. Legal claims are on the rise, however we are here to help. We can survey properties and quickly identify issues that are contributing to the condensation issue. In many cases, this can be put down to poorly insulated walls or mislayed loft insulation however in some cases it can be attributed to how the property is being lived in. We can provide assessments and advice to your residents, demonstrating how different behaviour can affect these issues within a home. We also provide regular checks for residents affected by issues and can measure the improvements made over a period of time using specialist equipment such as damp meters, or thermal imaging cameras.
We help Social Landlords with projects of all shapes and sizes and tailor our services to each clients need. A recent cavity wall scheme in West Yorkshire needed a bit of extra care and attention for the insulation of 50 homes. Some homes within the site were affected by severe wind and driving rain which had eroded the pointing and weathered the bricks from a wall. We were able to recommend a specialist approach to ensuring these homes did not miss out. A conservation area, we included a traffic management plan, health and safety consideration, site planning, tenant liaison and quality control management to ensure the job was completed to a very high standard, within budget and on time. We also brought over £20,400 worth of our own ECO funding to the table to financially support the project and its unique requirements.
